Today I’m sharing my very first solar polish! I’m obsessed with thermals, so I was super psyched to try this color-changing polish out.
“It’s Sherbert Day” is a new release from Cupcake Polish that is still available at the time of this blog post. You can find this shade here, but hurry– this shade was made in limited quantities and once it’s gone, it’s gone!
Under indoor or artificial lighting, It’s Sherbert Day is a coral pink-orange with an intense light blue shimmer. The shimmer in this polish is absolutely stunning!
In the sun, this shade transitions to a light blue-purple with blue shimmer.
I used three coats of polish for this shade. Those with shorter nails can probably get away with just two coats of color. The formula is really easy to work with, but I would recommend using as few brush strokes as possible. This shade also dries completely matte, so you will want to use a glossy top coat.
I am in love with the solar polish concept and will definitely have to add more of this type of polish to my collection!
